"I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in December 2001 with Gleason score of 6 and PSA of 13. I was treated by Dr. Ron Wheeler in Sarasota, FL on a watchful waiting basis my PSA bounced around between 10 and 18 for a 32-33 month period. At a PSA reading of 18, Dr. Wheeler recommended cryosurgery. I saw Dr. Brunelle for possible cryo and was told that my prostate was too large and that I needed to start on LupraLite at once. I had heard so many horror stories about Lurpron that I objected rather strenuously to this protocol. Dr. Brunelle finally said there was a process called HIFU being done in Mexico, but that it wasn’t FDA approved in this country (US). I was fascinated to say the very least and immediately went online. I had seen Dr. Brunelle on 11/12/04 and was treated by Dr. Suarez on 11/19/04. I managed to do this with the great cooperation and assistance from everyone at USHIFU, especially Amanda and Alex. I am now 6 weeks post op and doing very well. My wife and I both consider the experience as our “Miracle in Mexico."

I must also congratulate Dr. Suarez and Maria for their compassion and dedication. Both were very thorough and efficient during and after my stay in México. I would say that compared to the other prostate cancer options out, HIFU therapy is a “piece of cake.”
