I was treated in Toronto, Canada; it’s hard to improve a system like the one they have.
My treatment in Toronto was a very positive experience. Dr. Barkin’s treatment and assessment of the procedure was so positive that I have only positive feelings about the prognoses. Gina Bernard, head nurse contacted me weekly for updates on my recovery. Her advice and ultimate offer of the clinic to remove my s/p tube, which they did, was greatly appreciated. I really felt that I was not alone in the treatment and recovery phase.
I would love to be the “Poster Child” to raise awareness of the prevalence of prostate cancer and the availability of HIFU. When one mentions Prostate Cancer its amazing how many men are affected, and how many men and women know about HIFU.
