I felt the treatment was excellent. The cost should be covered by health care providers. Cost would be as much or greater with other procedure that are covered, which are more invasive. I have printed up and received about 2 dozen pamphlets and given them to friends at the golf club and bowling alley…
I truly believe that this procedure is the ONLY way to go. My urologist prescribed “Tylenol-3” for pain. I had absolutely NO PAIN, and did not take a single pill. I kidded him about doing nothing but take my money-but the PSA went from 9.0 to 0.4 in three months. I couldn’t be happier.
I have a call in to my local politician to see why this procedure is not covered by our health plan (OHIP) and am waiting for a call back. I was a member of the R.C.M.P. and our plan with them does not cover this procedure. I feel that if they were made aware of cases like mine, they would realize that this procedure should be used and paid for by health care plans.
