How can I schedule a HIFU procedure?

How to schedule HIFU with the Sonablate® 500 in an International HIFU Center:

Step 1: Call 1-866-553-1629 and speak personally with a HIFU nurse. A Clinical Nurse Specialist will be able to answer all your questions about the procedure, send you more detailed HIFU literature and refer you to a HIFU doctor for a medical consultation.

Step 2: Decide on the date and location of your treatment and who you would like to schedule the procedure. Call 1-866-553-1629 to get details on the location and available HIFU dates.

Step 3: You must make sure that you qualify for HIFU. The qualifications are based on some basic criteria including PSA, Gleason score and prostate size or volume. Qualification is ultimately determined by the treating HIFU physician. Please be prepared to submit medical records because the doctor will specifically need to see:

• Current PSA & PSA history
• Gleason Score
• Prostate Volume Study
• Biopsy reports
• MRI & bone scan reports (if available)

Step 4: After you have been told that you qualify for HIFU with the Sonablate® 500, final scheduling for each treatment weekend is completed by the USHIFU medical team. You will need to speak to a Nurse Specialist at 1-866-553-1629 for final confirmation.

Step 5: Once your HIFU treatment is scheduled you will be sent more detailed patient information, payment options & instructions and travel information.
